Poker Night Poem by Austin Lockwood

Poker Night

Rating: 3.0

Place your ante on the table so the game can begin
Be prepared everyone for I'm in it to win

We play for cash only, no we wont take your check
Dealer, shuffle the cards and I'll cut the deck

The stakes have been raised and I hold a two and four
Betting on it would soon have me walking out the door

Fold, I declare
For if I call my wallet soon shall be bare

The hand plays out
The dealer lets out a celabratory shout

Several hands in and I'm begining to win
The game I am looking to end

I go all in on a pair of aces
I lay down my cards and laugh in their faces

My luck tonight is hard to believe
The table now clear It's time to leave
