Poor Abraham Poem by Kevin Patrick II

Poor Abraham

Lately, I have been keeping
My copy of the Torah
next to my copy
of Mein Kampf
as one mans struggle
has become a nations goal
As all the cries of the faithful
Lay under a butchers red thumb

Did we trade the thousand year Reich
For a no mans land of paradise?
Who are Gods true children?
To command such genocide?

Poor Abraham lies
in the graveyard of fireflies

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I know people dont like political poems, but in this age, not being political is keeping your head in the sand as the tidal wave comes crashing in.
