I thought I knew you

You look the same as I remember

But somehow in a tiny time

You changed and never turned back.

I thought we were friends

That I could count on you to the bitter end

But you put my thoughts in their place

With the bark in your voice and the sneer on your face.

You used to be an original

Love of life glowing in your eyes like fireflies.

Now all you see is what’s in it for you

And how it will affect your image.

You think now that you’re one of the in-crowd

Nothing can ever hurt you

But what goes around comes around

I think I’m going to beat you.
