Portrait Of An Inner Self Poem by Christopher Bradford

Portrait Of An Inner Self

</></>My soul is a shadow caught in an eclipse.
Gradually getting darker as my sanity slips.
Am i disconnected from reality? Or is reality disconnected from chris?
Mask the pain, divert the blame, prolong a fate within my grips.
But accepting that fate, welcoming Deaths call.
I live on my knees anticipating the fall, so when i see the light im in position to crawl.
Without the threat of death there is no reason to live at all.
Purpose is gone, point is lost. expression is stoic. heart covered with frost.
Buying my time ive paid the cost, currency is heartache, heartache was cost.
