Is it possible to believe in more than what is here?
For joy and love and passion in life, instead of rain and fear
To have someone smile when they look at you, instead of frowns of disgust
To have someone to hold, care for and most of all to trust

When lies are what you know, and failure is who you are
Is there a way to replace the doubt and pain?
When all you have felt is abandonment and shame
Not to have the constant reminder of all our past scars
