Postpartum Enlightenment Poem by Kevin Patrick

Postpartum Enlightenment

Despots with nuclear wardrobes, Big Brothers eating Big Macs
Here's a sequel to the Dark Age, see the middle class get axed
Juniors gutless Tweets, make for Fascist faux pas
And Atlas and his minions bury their heads and applaud
The silicon fist, will rules with tabloid justice
Voices of snowflakes walk with echo chamber Crutches
Healthcare for shareholders, reason begs on broken knees
Celebrity deities are their own disease
Now the Russian bear is marching, and his Yankee puppets golfing
God eats his popcorn and watches the apocalypse engulfing

and the rats and the cockroaches will inherit the earth

In a few short decades, this poem may come to be regarded as historical, nonfiction, analytical. I hope the figurative language and expression wins out, but you may come to be regarded as a historian. Another great work!
