Potential Love - Poem by John Logan

Quiet footsteps,
Walking down a dark road for which I have
been walking down for a very long time...
Even during an arranged agreement(Marriage) .
I have always felt alone even though I was loved
My heart is warm but yet cold...

Loved ones there for me but never there
There is a place missing in my heart that’s leading me astray
A vacuum that was sucking every ounce of emotion from me
But still My heart is warm but yet cold....

Failures of past mistakes led my heart to be so cold
What could breathe fire to this cold heart?
I had always asked myself that even though I knew the answer
True love.....
I always wanted true love
Love that makes you want to pour out SIMP emotions to let that special person know how much they mean to you
My heart is warm but yet cold....

Meeting strangers to hopefully fill that void
or at least clean my whistle
Scared to make that leap of faith of having someone close to me
My heart is warm but yet cold...

Random websites of love or self proclaimed love
Posing as angels but yet wear a mask
Chatting with someone with the username Jamsinetoohot
Very interested in her beauty but knows nothing of her soul
First date great....
Second date casual but great....
Why does it appear as though I am talking to myself
Not in a crazy way but as though I am looking through a mirror
This warm feeling of someone gazing at you with care
Can't help but wonder have I finally found that someone

My heart is warm but may no longer be cold....
