Pound For Pound Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Pound For Pound

Some people may call me a weak coward
But I stand one man against an army
Behind your gang you may feel empowered
But by yourself you can never harm me

And many a time I could have smashed you
For I saw you coming a mile away
In my life I've beaten black and blue
If I wanted I could have made you pay

There's nothing better than I would like more
Than a pound for pound duel in battle
But you are a snake and have no honour
Think your a lion but you are just cattle

You ambush me and then boast your so tough
But I remember when you cried enough
