Pour Vous Poem by bob barci

Pour Vous

I sit here at my desk.
It's time to search.
Search for a set of words for you.
I need to let you know
my time with you was enjoyed.
To let you know, in my unique way.
And why not?
Am I not poet?
Poets do that sort of thing, ya know.
They make up words for many different reasons.
For now, you are my reason.
And a good one at that.
You took time to share with me.
Time you could have spent elsewhere.
So, in return,
I take time for you.
Time to seek out
this set of words
that's just for you.
Words of your very own
are hard to come by,
as they aren't often written.
Writing for someone is a pleasure.
It's something I should do more often.
For now, I write for you.
A set of words to somehow tell you
time with you
is one of life's highlights.
