Practical Personal Truth Poem by Harlan Simantel

Practical Personal Truth

i'm convinced
if i always try to see the truth
in personal matters
large or small

face facts by writing
or memory recall
i'll get over the molehill
or mountain I feel

grow up, mature
get on better with life
be better friends with myself
and even my wife!

truth can hurt a bit
it tends to correct
but when i accept it
peace i detect

the truth will set you free
said a wise man once
in day to day life
it's the adult way to be
