Prayer Poem by Jordan Moore

Prayer

Lord you empower so many great people,
To build upon your rules, a holy steeple,
So as I sit here gazing at your creation,
I realize your power,
That unlike men, does not go sour,
I look out at the trees,
That enhance all the beauty there is to see,
There Is nothing that can compare,
With the love that you share,
The courage you give me,
To be who you want me to be,
And to see what you want me to see.

Your love conquers all,
It protects me from the fall,
That Is waiting around the corner,
Hidden behind every mourner,
There is hope for these souls,
They are lost, hidden from the truth,
I will save them no matter the cost, no matter the pain,
Because you filled me with love and told me that you once came,
And that you love us all the same,
With love that is unimaginable,
Love that is untamable,
And truth that is unblameable,
So as I kneel, and start to pray,
I ask for help and words to say,
I need you lord, your love that no sin can steal,
I ask for forgiveness,
Because I am not always good,
And I do not do the Godly things I should,
I don't always help If I could,
For I am lazy, I am bad,
But in your eyes I am perfect even though I can make you sad,
You make me joyful lord,
You make me feel safe, with protection from your sword,
