Prayer For A Loved One - Poem by Marguerite Atkins
O God, bless this Thy faithful servant
in his time of need
Be Thou his health. Be Thou his strength
And be to him the sight which is no longer his.
In thy merciful kindness fill him with Thy spirit.
Oh, give him of Thy peace and be in him the joy
which was always a part of his loving, laughing heart.
But, above all, O Lord, in Thy tender compassion
Be Thou his close companion so that he will not be lonely
on his way to Thee.
