Precaution Poem by Okello Baloyi

Precaution

Do not love me yet, as I am still
Depending on someone
Who's trying to evade poverty
Wait for me to learn how to breath
As love alone has never worked
Allow me to be lazy before commitment
Where the sea end, I haven't reach
And I can't add plus one since
My disapproval of banks
Let me spread my wings like a bird
Searching for food and settlement
While predators whine for me
Then allow me to work without texts
And earn a living for a long period
When you're still available
You can love me with what you got
