Pressence Poem by Rachel Underhill

Pressence

Rating: 5.0

(Keep me as the apple of your eye, hide me in the shadow of your wings.)
Embrace me as does the sunshine in mid spring.
For I will feel the chill of cold hearted moments and face the sight of death, My opponent!

You are water trickling down my throat, you quench my thirst, you bring me hope.
I feel, the coolest breeze on a hot summers day and know you are there throughtout my days.

The sound, a flying flock of soaring singers.
I reminise, your laughter, you are still with us.
Im blinded, the darkest hour, lonliest night.
You are the star to kiss my eyelids and give me sight.

Courage, lost, I feel to hide.
Your thundering strength, my genetical pride, I stand, I fight.
You are there; eyes, blood, bones and mind!
