Pretty Mer Girl Poem by Justin Gildow

Pretty Mer Girl

Pretty Mer Girl
You've entrusted me with your secret
I know I'm not like all the other guys
But I'm sure you know that
I can tell you really like me
That much is evident
I know you know I like you

You like water and you hate it just as well
You wish you could be normal
Just like any ordinary girl
But I know that can't be
As your life isn't normal

Pretty Mer Girl
I know people in this world wouldn't understand
you
Heck, even the world won't listen

In me, you can trust
I care about you deeply
Perhaps even love you dearly
I don't care what anyone believes
Like I've said
The world won't listen
But I'm here for you
And I can tell
That's all you want to hear
That's all you seem to need
As you embrace and hug me
