He was created and tossed aside
Forgotten about and left behind
But then he stood and walked with pride
And challenged life to keep his bind
And life has tried, tried many times
To keep him down and again tied
He looked around and slaves he saw
They were in shackles and did not mind
Not me he said, not in this life
I will not bow, I will not cry
You may hurt me and I may fall down
But I will stand up with head up high
Life challenged me and then concluded
That I’ll live free or rather die
