Princess

Rating: 5.0

Raven orchid once growing wild
Who’s sought The Way above
Rise up in The Spirit reconciled
A princess bathed in love

Though often life has pierced your soul
Though tears have not been rare
Nothing can keep from Heaven’s goal
Eternity to share

In life dear child you’ve seen The Light
The Truth has set you free
By standing true and walking right
Your future’s plain to see

Compassion holds you by the hand
Wisdom’s caressed your mind
Through grace you’ve learned to understand
Your Father’s will to find

You’ve learnt to love you’ve learnt to give
You’ve learnt yourself to spend
By Heaven’s grace when thus you live
Your days may see no end

Your Father loves you precious one
Your soul is God’s delight
Holding the hand of Christ His Son
Tread faithful in His sight

Though thorns and thistles bar your way
Shadows obscure your path
Lift up your eyes bless God each day
Love’s saved you from the wrath

Let Heaven hear your praise my sweet
Thank Christ for all He’s done
Serve humbly at your Master’s feet
Until your race is run Michael P. Johnson
