Prove Love’s Wisdom

We’ve erred we’ve strayed we’ve killed and lied
Opposed our Father’s hand
Till shameful deeds have multiplied
Like grains of common sand

Yet God would open each our eyes
Would cleanse our sinful heart
Would guide our souls to paradise
Giving a brand new start

He knows the thief and those who lie
The killer and the cheat
Yet none of which will ever die
Who’ll learn at Jesus’ feet?

But who’ll believe what Jesus taught
Consider Heaven’s Word?
Who’ll acknowledge His true report?
And do the things they’ve heard

Who’ll take in hand life’s awesome book?
Seek out the facts within
Drinking their fill from Heaven’s brook?
Washing away their sin

Who’ll bow their knee, who’ll seek God’s face?
Who’ll change the way they live
Receive life’s crown and endless grace
From He who died to give

Who will receive the promise made?
To Satan close their door
Within the flow of love then wade
Till safe on Heaven’s shore

Who’ll prove the wisdom of our King?
The love of Jesus Christ
Rise up transformed on eagle’s wing
Through lives now sacrificed
