In the viscera of my drowned universe, I felt you like broken crystal
Those eyes that I had already chosen, now closed
I wanted to understand you, walking over fears of fallen angels
and thus bring some equilibrium to your ledge
I don't know but, when I peer beyond your eyes,
I believe I can get inside your opened and bleeding chest
and perhaps heal your wounds...though it might already be too late
It doesn't matter if I'm dying or being born
Only your dissolved soul defines your fawn love, disconcerted and elusive
What you asked me so many times to become...would I ever be?
I feel synchronicities lifting us away with uncontrollable,
unmanageable broken wings, ignorant of transparent lines, truths or lies
An asymmetry of wireless secrets
Would ever I be? I feel I am
The afternoon, the color of winter falls on Palermo, where I play in the park pretending you are arriving early
There where I vibrate in the gerund, loving, armed with your history of sudden drought
I ask myself, how many drops must yet fall before I can let you go?
Behind your face, there are others
I see mine there, where I know and recognize myself
When will we become one, in this lost universe?
I'm the one that lifts your hands to my kiss, incredulous, looking at your unnamed prism
How have you wandered off? Where have I found myself?
I feel useless illuminating your footsteps, following the footprints of your destiny
Am I the bridge and the companion?
How can I tell?
I do know that once lost, I will enter there between, inside you, where I love life, to die where I'm being born
Here where life escapes me, I hold my breath because there are silences behind your wall, because you know well we are whatever we create, a fire without borders in a war without tears and that I have crossed over torrents of shattered glass, stepping on your frost as barefooted as I am, because I love you
