I am forever controlled,
By what happens to me,
By things that have happened,
Or by things I must see.

I am locked in a corner,
Of misery and sorrow,
Hoping to be released,
With the fate of tomorrow.

Will my destiny be good,
Or will it just bring pain?
But for awhile I will be freed,
Until fate has touched again.

Am I free to choose my own way,
Or am I just too late?
I am afraid I will forever be,
A prisoner of fate.
