Prisoner Of Hopes Poem by B3k Baylon

Prisoner Of Hopes

Rating: 5.0

She that haunts my dreams…
I can hear her screams
My heart beats like the drum
The silence, like a dreary hum

I wept and uttered a prayer
My soul like a dying ember
How long will it endure?
This sickness without a cure

Turned the sky into gray
The gloom ate its way
The heart ceased to beat
In pure dismay of this feat

The tempest kept raging
Whilst the spirit slowly aging
Though the battle isn’t over
This warrior’s not gonna cower

The kingdom may rise and fall
The madness may take its toll
They will remember the legacy
Of the one who fought mightily
