Problems With Perfection Poem by Rebecca Pepper

Problems With Perfection

Rating: 5.0

You say that you’re perfect
But your life isn’t worth it
You live your life breezing by
Passing it by please don’t lie

This isn’t how your life should be
Mistakes make a person perfect to me
But you refuse to look through my eyes
All you see are clear seas and blue skies

Maybe in a world so make believe
Your shallow mind you can deceive
Turn from the truthful reality
But that means leaving your family

I tried so hard to see your view
To find those warm arms to fall into
But your presence you hide so well
Is that truly you? No longer can I tell

I’m gone now I hoped for so long
But its ok ill move onto my next song
This time it won’t fall onto deaf ears
This time I won’t shed any tears
