Prom Poem by Lance K...

Prom

It's horrible it's depressing and a shame
even some low life's get the fame
its a horrid killer and a nasty thief
a burden that I must bury very deep
even the lame movie stars can even keep up
leaving me empty like a half drunken cup
thrown onto the curb to be forgotten
this is my story ready for the plottin

Even with all I've got all my talent and charm
which does nothing, but make me want to carve in my arm
that I'm a failure at a subject everyone seems to pass
and it hurts when they steal your thunder with sass
Even when its time to choose the one you cast
you're not even going to get picked last
so you let it go only in pain
to see some other guy get the gain
and take all the fame
leaving you in shame

Even with the scheduled dances and cherishment
all the lonely ones pair only because of embarrassment
not for love cause they lost it to begin with,
which I did and loosing it too
like they say
if you look you'll see whose to blame
so keep in mind don't be like me and be wrong
even though I'm not going, go to your prom

Awhh Lance. I just stumbled across your poem. It was excellent. And forget about her, you sound like an incredible person, your sorrow weaves itself into meaningful sentences. I know you'll meet a better girl. Best wishes- Rita
