Proof Of God Poem by Poetical Analysis

Surviving past King, X
And all the fallen rest
Is proof of God

Not being destroyed
Like a hundred million girls & boys
Is proof of God

Living another day in & under them
Just not being lynched by their kin
Is proof of God

Escaping from the dying poor
Never stopping on The Jericho Road
Is proof of God

Looking into Africa's death
And feeling relief in your chest
Is proof of God

Getting cleared of false charges decades later
Somehow proves 'good' is greater
And God is on your side
Good luck with that sense of pride
All that proof you hold so dear
So you close you eyes when danger's near
When the enemy comes with money & guns
Believers in God never run
Like Jews in Germany or
Blacks in Florida
Mexicans in Arizona
Or humans in Texas
They all trust that voice
'God protect us'
