Prosim, Listen To Honzik Poem by Adalbert W. Maslarz

Prosim, Listen To Honzik

The most frequently trod place in the galactic
is the Charles’ Bridge, said Honzik the Capsztyk.
A drunkard from Jelinku. he didn’t used to be
like that at all but when he inherited a pension
of his father’s (from the Wehrmacht) , not to mention
he had no children: he dumped his stunning wife
and drummed up courage to reveal his secret life:
his preference for men. So now he drinks
as manly love hurts more than you might think
And if he’s thoughts of her when he’s with men
It’s ‘cos some parts of life were, well, just easier then.
