Protector Poem by Nick Downer

you are my protector,
the fighter of my evils
and the forgiver of my sins
you build me up from nothing
put me back together
and give me back my wings
you save me from the demons
and keep away the darkness
your love's what keeps me sane
you hold my hand when i cry
whisper that you love me
when i fall apart again
you're the one thing that i trust
when everything else is lies
and the world is scary and cold
when everything falls apart
it's lonely and confusing but,
we're the certainty I hold
