Psalm Of Mercy Poem by Roxanne Dubarry

Psalm Of Mercy

Rating: 5.0

Oh Lord early in the morning,
I sing my psalms of mercy.
with fear, I faithfully
serve the Lord of Hosts.
And I do rejoice! With
trembling. I am most

blessed because I put
my trust and faith in him.
He will lead me into the
passage ways of righteousness
for his holy name's sake.

When the day is through,
and I lay down upon my
bed. What do I to fear?
When I can rest my
weary head. Your shall
keep a careful watch
over me. Your banner
over me is really love.

I can safely lay down.
Your guardian
angels shall keep their
restful guard over me.
Whenever I close my
eyes and go to sleep.
The enemy has no more
power over me!

Oh! My Lord hearken unto
my desperate pleas for mercy.
I cried to him with my voice.
And out of his holy hill.
For he owns the cattle on
a thousand hills. He
watchs over every part
of his creation.

The Lord listened. And
heard me. I will praise
you we my whole heart.
My own spirit and soul
shall sing your praises.
MY heart will rejoice
and my spirit shall be
glad.

And proclaim far and
wide. Your marvelous
works throughout
your earthly kingdom.
So man and women will
know of your abundant
merciful ways.

Love in Christ Jesus!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When I was younger I started out writing poetry using the book of Psalms. I used inserts of some of David's early psalms. I also added necessary words of my own.
