Pulling The Threads Poem by Joe Penname

Pulling The Threads

Rating: 4.0

In these making things work,
We're not working
You said you're going extra miles
But the miles hasn't even started

Are you pulling me on your threads?
Or is it just one of your threats?
Should I leave you on read?
Should I bury this feeling to death?

You said that I was never ready,
But I was dying to call you 'baby'
You only were enough for me,
But was it too much to ask, honestly?
If you'd be in agony,
Then who am I, if not your remedy?

Should I leave you on read?
Should I be silent instead?
Should I pull the threads?
And let our tapestry be shred?
