Puppet Master Poem by Terrie Jones

Puppet Master

Puppet master, I need no strings to hold me
firmly in place.
Instead I choose to face those fears and
take a step towards grace
With my hands held but, like a child I
will reach.
For knowledge and discernment, the Master
He will teach
I will hold my head up high, I will look
into the light.
For those strings, they held my interest
and kept me from what was right
I will leave you now puppet master,
you can't hold me in this place.
for someone greater than you has given
me strength to take a Stand in Faith
