Put The Armour On

Quicken my soul let Light be found
Let darkness raise her veil
Let wisdom lead to higher ground
Let truth no longer fail

Quicken Your servant’s heart and mind
Let Light run through my veins
Open my eyes allow me find
The key to folly’s chains

From Adam’s curse make quick and free
This cage of flesh and bone
Your living word I long to see
Your secrets yet unknown

Your blood my God has caused my rise
To quit my shameful gloom
Above the stench of Satan’s lies
Beyond their painful doom

To understand Your ways o Lord
So much I need acquire
With faithful shield and trusty sword
Let love be my desire

Humility I too must seek
With grace give peace divine
Give strength where yet Your servant’s weak
And make great knowledge mine

Anointing oil allow to pour
Upon this child of dust
Till standing strong as man of war
I’m free from selfish lust

In truth my God I’ve come to learn
The need of Jesus’ hand
Without; no woman’s child can turn
And live as always-planned
