Quality Poem by Joshua Mccoy

Quality

I don’t want popularity, I want
Exclusive
Seclusive
Passionate
Sensitive
Seductive
Spontaneous
And Sweet.

I don’t want uniformity
I want creativity
I don’t want to share
I want my love to touch my arms alone

I want someone who is caring and kind, knows how to love in romance and under dim lilted sheets.
I want a trustworthy lover who would do anything to be with me, reflecting it in words
AND
Actions that follow through.

No empty promises or cancellations in ways to reveal how much thy love my heart and whole being
Please
My
Heart
Has gone numb from any form of warmth from the many lovers in name only that have let it rot in decaying despair.
Despite the happiness the world seems to see in me,
my heart weeps in agony,
silently behind closed doors of lies and fake smiles.

The hopes of finding someone exactly like me may have faded from the world a long time ago
But extinction hasn’t claimed another unsuspecting victim just yet.

(I am sitting at crossroads mall munching on cold chicken nuggets and they’re not too bad. Showed up by a false lover, who caries the world on her sleeve along with the term girlfriend, without any text saying why or what’s happening to detain her but I have already sided with my heart to set her free)

I think I will wait for another to come and defrost my scarred heart and free it from the whirlwind of hatred with sword slices that entrap it.
(A lot of weirdoes at the mall today)

Plant a rose on my grave if I die in a world without love.
