Queen Iron Heart Poem by Weldon Davis

Queen Iron Heart

You never let me in
Anyone for that matter
So worried about falling in love
So worried about being careless

My ambitions were to help you
See the brighter side of life
That no matter how many people told me
You were not
I knew you were

A queen in all her majesty
A beautiful woman to be exalted
The love of my life!

Queen Iron Heart with your love on guard
I tried to pry you open
Yeah.
I clawed and clawed

You repelled me
Expelled me with a violent thrust
Go on
Live like that
Jaded
Since you must

Until the day your
Iron heart
Turns to rust
Useless
