My sadness amid the joy
Causes me concern
To love and to have loved
Both equal in their intensity
One soothes my troubled heart
The other creates it
Love that most troublesome
Of emotions is taking me on a ride
That either bliss or sorrow is the goal
Never seems to be anything else
Why would I do this to myself
