Questions Poem by Shawn Caine Hampton

Questions

Why did you go? Why did you leave?
You still had so much to achive.

Why did you do it? Why did you go?
So many of us here needed you so.

I know you thought your future wasn't bright.
But so many of us here would have helped you fight.

No matter the problem we'd fight and win.
Cause we stick together through thick and thin.

Why did you not tell us? Why did you not ask?
Together we could have conquered any task.

Why did you leave us? Why did you go?
Leaving us here missing you so.

I'm sure you didn't want to cause us pain.
But you were young with so much to gain.

Instead in our lives we suffer a loss.
Having nothing to hold but a wreath and a cross.

Why did you go? Why did you leave?
Leaving us here only to grieve.

I know you had problems like all of us do.
We would have dropped ours to go and help you.

Why did you not tell me in our last call?
I asked you what's wrong, you said nothing at all.

If i would have known, I'd have went back home.
And helped you fight until it was gone.

You had so much to live for, you just couldn't see.
We were supposed to be survivors, you and me.

Why did you do the thing that you did?
You had so much family, even a kid.

Why did you leave? Why did you go?
Leaving us here missing you so.
