Questions Losing Answers. Poem by Tyrus Ndlovu

Questions Losing Answers.

Love in a generation filled with obsession,
Lust catches the eye,
While the heart chases validation.
Love slowly loses its meaning,
As confused hearts try to redefine it,
Replacing love with obsession.

Obsession, disguised as love,
Finds its way into the heart,
Posing like a drug.
Humans search for love in one another,
Unaware that its meaning has already been stolen.
All that remains is obsession.
As time passes, obsession fades quietly.
The illusion once called love departs,
Leaving hearts torn,
Dependent on a feeling that was never truly love.

In what generation,
Will love and humanity
finally meet again?

The drug compels them to go on and keep finding that 'obsession'
Observant, the desire is applauded.
