Quiet Christmas
For that lonely soul
Deserted by friends, so called
And left in that cold chamber
Of a home, not warm
And lacked warmth
When heaters generate
No warmth, but loud silence
All alone and loved ones
All gone
To be with other loved ones
Quiet Christmas in warm
Company makes it ideal, but
When forced on one
By fate
In conspiracy with providence
None to turn to or
Even blame
All alone starring
In vacant thoughts
Looking out and not seeing
A world so cold and uncaring
That lonely soul dying slowly
In the sole company, of
Liquor or even the ones
Some sniff
Such is the lot of that soul
In quiet Christmas visited
By the cruelty of fate
In this beautiful and still
Wicked world, we all dwell.
