" One Day, I Kill The King And Take The Throne, " Poem by Habiba Adel

" One Day, I Kill The King And Take The Throne, "

He sits under the tree,
Waiting for the king on the street
So he can shout, 'I am poor,
Lord, help me, please.'

When he passed he said, 'Lord, I need food, '
The king on the chaise said, 'It was the flood,
Why should I care of something not my fault?
Why should I care of you to behold? '

The boy of nine laughed and tears shed
He cried, 'They told me care you don't give,
I thought try I should for my belly isn't full
I thought try I should, I believed.'
The king ordered the chaise over the hills to
roll

Cared nothing about the poor little soul
Who remained beneath the tree wondering,
'One day, I kill the king and take the throne.'
