Rabina Abbas Poem by Sumita Jetley

Rabina Abbas

In Masjid al-Nabawi's embrace, she sits,
A scholar, with her soul alit.
Rabina's quest, so pure and wise,
Underneath Medina's skies.

Papers sprawl, ink flows free,
Sufi paths in script she sees.
The divine dance of word and thought,
In sacred silence, tranquilly sought.

Around her, whispers of ancient prayer,
Fill the air, a spiritual layer.
The energy of devotion, vast and deep,
Cradles her research in peaceful sleep.

Prayer time nears, the faithful gather,
Their presence, not a bother.
A communal breath, a shared desire,
To touch the divine, to aspire higher.

Rabina, in this moment caught,
Feels the truth she has long sought.
Not just in texts or scholarly art,
But in the beating of the heart.

From Harvard's halls to sacred ground,
Her journey, profound.
A tale of love, of soulful quest,
In simplest words, it's expressed.
