Rachael Poem by Raimi Babatunde

Rachael

If I were a Politician
I'll buy you the moon
If I were a Sailor
My ship will berth at your shows
If I were a Dreamer
I'll take you to Paris
But I a Poet
So, I'll write you some lines

She stands at 5feet 9
Witty, intelligent and beautiful
Her eyes can melt a heart
She is wonderful soul
A product of complete grace
An epitome of virtue and class
She is my "Guy", not that "G"
She's got your back always

Today, the stars are bright
They are gathered in one accord
Today, the Angels are gathered
To sing you melodious sounds
With harps and strings
Because it is your birthday
"Abeg, do shakara"
I join all the Poets in the world
To celebrate you today and always
Happy birthday Racheal
