Radha's Dilemma Poem by Sakshi Mukherjee

Radha's Dilemma

Tie my arms and tie my legs,
How will you tie my heart?
Shut my eyes and shut my mouth,
How will you shut soul's blart?

I won't go near the river if you say,
I won't go fetch water.
I won't try to see him if you say,
I won't be a fleeter.

Shun my desires and shun my caresses,
How will you shun my affection?
Lock my heart and lock me in,
How will you lock my mind's resurrection?

I will not besmirch my kin if you say,
I will not bring shame upon them.
Let it adorn me alone if you say,
I will wear it like a wreath with condemn.

Bar my home and bar my roads,
How will you bar my fate?
Slam the doors and slam the windows,
How will you slam this debate?
