Radiant Comforter Poem by B. V. Dahlen

Radiant Comforter

Curling crisply underfoot
The fallen leaves
Carpet my garden.
Stitching a quilt
Of glowing hues,
They blanket the seeds
Shed from summer blooms.
Tumbling swirling
Flecks of color
Dance on breezes
Tossing branches overhead.
Splintered pods and flowers spent
Slumber dreaming
Under sod and rubble,
Debris of summer now foregone.
