There's no good news today
I could not hear one on radio
or the flickering of tv screens,
but only in the laughters—
of children playing around,
the sun spilling gold across the lawn,
The loud pón pón pón of distant train,
its rhythmic pulse a reminder
that life rolls on,
steadily, steadily and unbroken.
The best news today,
I couldn't found one in the headlines
But only in my neighbor's smile,
the aroma of fresh-baked bread
wafting through open windows,
the dog's joyful leap into my arms,
his tail a metronome of delight.
Was moment the world stood still,
as if holding its breath,
and we inhale the gift of now.
The best news today
Was the warmth of a hand in mine,
the shared silence of a sunset,
the promise of tomorrow—
wrapped in the colors of twilight,
where hope lingers like stardust
on the edge of dreams,
reminding you, me and us,
that every day holds its treasure,
waiting to be heard.
