Radio (Solitary Confinement) Poem by Weldon Davis

Radio (Solitary Confinement)

Listen to the radio
All the songs I think
I know
How everyone relates to me
HaHaHa
I can't get enough
Of
Heart stirring melodies
Ballads that evoke feeling
The chatter of intellectuals
On the AM dial
Commercials for products
I can't buy
Right now
Free give-a-ways
A walk-a-thon
A corny joke
Told by a comedian
Static
A Christmas song
Glamour-A stammer
The running man
MC Hammer
Thinking life isn't so dull
Maybe it is
All I know
Is
Time goes by smoother
With my radio
In this cell
