Ragged Castaway Poem by dino evans

Ragged Castaway

Pain and desire
They seem to go hand in hand these days
As I count the many ways
That I have hurt you

Tears are now fueling the fire
And in the harsh cold light of reality
Eyes that hid the lies
Somehow desert you

Words said, or left unsaid
Leave my lonesome, tattered soul
Existence bent...unwhole
Sad memories to keep

Come still of night
Lost am I, Ragged castaway
Another day, now passed away
Adrift in dreams of you

I watch the sea and sleep...
