'Rain' Poem by Kevin Wang

'Rain'

pattering softly down the windowpane
makes me look up
and remember the pain
when I was just a pup

inexperienced as I was
to take it all out on the rain
feeling no bit ashamed
as I walk down memory lane
as much as I will be damned
to still feel sane

bade a second to go bye bye
as I close my eyes
raise my hands to touch the sky
to heave a great sigh while learn to cry

pitter patter goes the rain
rolling harshly by and by on my side
slapping my face to and fro
as i break open like a nut who lost its shell

silent does it go
softly does love bring my heart back
to a place I did not want to go
and yet it's brought back
with plentiful to spare
with plentiful of tears
not of sorrow
but of happiness like of once before

and this is just the beginning...
