Rain Poem by Gower Aimable

Rain

RAIN...

Falls on my window

Whispers deep to my subliminal

Tries to subconsciously convince me

that things are not right…

RAIN

Relentlessly unforgiving

A just beating

Even more striking than the ability to adjust

Though they would only be slight touches

To a persona I used to embody

One who saw a silver lining as more than just a must

I try to find some reason to go on

But looking up rain pierces my soul

Exposes the hole covered with nothing

But broken dreams

A foundation built on sand

A foolish man

Living in the solitude of the fear of an upcoming storm

Rain warns

Because two can never be one

Two can never be one

Because two is about to become one…

RAIN...TEARS...

Why fight Mother Nature?

When mother knows best

RAIN
