Rain Poem by Madison Wrobel

Rain

Tears of happiness
Tears of joy
Tears of pure hatred
Pools of sorrow

It’s like the sky is bleeding
Need to stitch up the wounds

What makes God cry like this?
When thunder hits,
It sends a roar,
Just like a Cold War

These rain drops
Are making music
The platter of the water
Splashes on faces

It has a special dance,
A special song
When it comes alive
It brings you inside

“Come dance with me”
It says
“Sing along and be my friend”
It says

You can’t help
But go under its spell
Can’t help but be its partner

But make a wrong move,
Thunder crashes,
Memories erased
Loved ones taken away,
To wondrous places

So if you dare,
Listen to the cries of the sky,
Watch your step,
Or you’ll be its victim
‘Till some other soul
Comes dancing in
