I took myself to a quiet spot
To sit and watch the rain
I gazed as the heavens opened
Watched it crash against my windowpane
Such vivid luminescent droplets
Shone through rays of amber light
Clouds gathering in their abundance
Bullying the hidden sunlight
I tended to always shy away
From its wet and soggy embrace
Evoking a mix of emotions
Its sensation upon my face
Now there's no better feeling
When caught amid a downpour
Than to dance in the wonder of nature
Leaving all my inhibitions at the door
