Rain Poem by Alade Abayomi Idris

Rain

The sky covers herself with black blanket
Roofs cacophonously cry in pain
Trees make ferocious dance steps
Nylons soar like eagles in the horizon.

Ambitious pebbles maraud the eyes of imps
Travelers make for an abandoned awning
As wild winds wander here and there
Like a curious toddler
Lightning run zigzag in the dark clouds
As trumpeting sounds make a little child scream.

Chilliness runs everyone over
Like others
I wrap myself with a thousand blankets
As it pours, pours and pours.

The good bad rain reign
Like the sky will collapse on my innocent head.
