Rain In Summer Poem by Pallavi Sarkar

Rain In Summer

The rain, wanting to reach me,
But the window glass came in middle.
But it also found it's own way,
Starting to drop from leak roof.

As I look out of my garden,
Washed and clean and new born looking leaves
Greeted me looking very happy,
By fulfilling their thirst on a hot summer day.

The rain came and the rain went.
Doing my work easier by cleaning my cycle.
But did a nasty work at same time by wetting my clothes.
Ugh! I have to keep them for drying again

The birds started flying leaving their nest.
Most animals came out in order to drain,
The excess water which is making them cold.
I also went out and a sweet smell welcomed me.
